FIRST INAUGURAL POST

Wow, it is my first blog post... I have to admit there is a certain cathartic quality to blogging, but I never know where to really start with the first one. See I believe that your blog, along with your website, and in deed every marketing asset you own should have a purpose. A strategy something that offers far greater value to your target market than anyone could imagine. 

 

So where do I start then.... well maybe with why I built Elevate Rise. I am going to let you in on a secret. I hate the coaching industry. Not because of what it represents....I love what it represents. I hate what it has become, who it has attracted. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of good coaches and consultants out there, but the large majority don't even  practice what they preach. 

 

WHAT'S IN A NAME? 

 

Elevate Rise.... well Elevate is my 7 step coaching and leadership framework. I have had a reputation for years of being able to get the most out of a business, a person, a team and without adding additional resources. Elevate is how I do that. Rise eludes to the result because you will see revenue and profits rise, but it is also my philosphy as well. Business owners are good people giving everything they have. They are not on easy street...but no one makes sure you can do this before you get started. 

 

I have had 2 amazing business men in my life. 1 was my father and he had 5 businesses and none of them were successful. He made sure that the client got the discount, and the supplier got paid, and the employees got paid (except when I was the employee :) ) but there was never any left for our family. As a young boy I looked at my dad and saw the strongest, smartest man in the iuniverse, and I watched failure after failure turn him into a shadow of himself. 

 

The other man was a mentor (let's call him my business dad). He had a local shop and was terrible at business but the customers loved him. Had no idea how finances worked but always had enough money come in to keep the creditors at bay. One day a competitor arrived in the nsame of a big box store. They had more buying power, a better building, staff, and suddenly he started losing market shares and getting less of the pie. One day they took the business.... that night he decided that he wasn't going to go home and explain himself. 

 

WHEN A SMALL BUSINESS FAILS THE LOSS IS GREATER THEN SOME JOBS AND A WEBSITE 

 

For me that is why I built Elevate Rise.  I have spent much of my adult life learning business. Learning what works and what doesn't. Learning the sequences of things.... that strategies that organise the tactics that everyone talks about. I wanted to create a business that really did support people like two dad's. Not just business owners, but the freelancers, the franchises, the start ups, and the entrepreneurs that go to work everyday to build a better life for the people that call them: Mum, Dad, Brother, Sister, Husband, Wife, Friend. 

 

I am excited not just to offer the best value, but the best strategies and expereince I can to you? Yes, if you are hear it is because you are likely a businesss leader looking for an edge.
